Through its Gendered Enterprises and Marketing approach, Oxfam GB supports sustainable income generating agricultural activities of rural women. To support this programme, Blue Rhino Africa conducted four Participatory Gendered Market Mappings in different areas of Tanzania, using a participatory process to build capacity and ownership of project stakeholders on promoting economic leadership for women.

The aim of the programme was to identify women’s positions, barriers, and opportunities proposing critical interventions in accessing markets for strong women economic leadership. Four three-day workshops were conducted on vegetables, rice, sisal and indigenous chicken species with key project stakeholders and local community representatives.
